Company description

Finteli is an early-stage, pre-seed startup building B2B licensed software for accountancy practices and adjacent financial professionals. We help firms run structured, AI-assisted work on real client files - bookkeeping review, VAT preparation, reporting, and similar repeatable jobs - with qualified professionals staying in control of outputs before anything is finalised.

We are moving from design-partner conversations toward paid beta with UK accountancy practices, and expanding outreach to financial advisors and other finance-led firms who face the same document-heavy, time-pressured workflows.

Role description

This is not a passive inbound-only role. You will be Finteli's front line in market - finding the right firms, earning trust with partners and managers, and turning interest into signed design partners and paying customers.

You will work closely with founders and product so what you hear in the field shapes positioning, onboarding, and roadmap priorities. You do not need to be a technologist, but you must be credible with financial professionals who care about accuracy, client confidentiality, and professional judgement.

Expect to build a target account list across accountancy firms and financial advisors, run outbound and inbound outreach, conduct discovery and qualification, lead product conversations and demos, recruit design partners through structured beta programmes, and close commercial agreements for paid beta and early licence and usage-based plans. You will maintain accurate CRM records, capture market feedback for the product team, and represent Finteli at industry events and partner introductions.

Required skills & experience

  • 2+ years B2B sales or business development with quota or pipeline ownership (professional services, fintech, or B2B software preferred)
  • Proven ability to generate your own pipeline - outbound, referrals, and events - not only process marketing leads
  • Strong consultative selling: discovery calls, qualification, follow-up, and closing without high-pressure tactics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - you can write a credible cold outreach message and hold a 30-minute discovery with a partner-level buyer
  • Comfort selling a trust-sensitive product where buyers ask about data, security, and professional responsibility
  • Organised pipeline management - CRM hygiene, next steps, and honest forecasting
  • Resilience and self-direction in an early-stage environment without a large sales ops team
  • Right to work in the UK

Nice to haves

  • Experience selling to accountancy practices, financial advisors, or wealth / advisory firms
  • Familiarity with UK accountancy context - practice structure, chargeable time, client packs, compliance-minded buyers
  • Network in ICAEW, ACCA, or local practice communities
  • Background in licence and usage-based commercial models
  • Experience running design-partner, pilot, or beta programmes - not only transactional closes
  • Comfort with product demos - you can walk a firm through a workflow credibly
  • Understanding of AI product positioning in regulated settings - decision support, human review, not replacing the accountant
  • LinkedIn social selling and content-led outreach
  • Cultural fit with a small founding team - low ego, high accountability, direct feedback
