Finteli is an early-stage, pre-seed startup building B2B licensed software for financial practices. We help firms run structured, AI-assisted work on real client files with qualified accountants staying in control of outputs before anything is finalised.

Role description

You will join as a junior engineer with mentorship from the founding team. You will contribute to production features across our TypeScript stack - UI, APIs, and data - and build depth in AI-assisted product development in a B2B setting.

This role suits someone with solid fundamentals, curiosity, and a portfolio or prior experience who wants real product exposure in a small startup.

Required skills & experience

  • TypeScript fundamentals and at least 1 year of professional experience or equivalent project / portfolio work
  • React basics - components, hooks, forms, and consuming REST APIs
  • Node.js exposure - simple routes, middleware, and calling external services
  • Interest in LLM / AI tools and willingness to learn SDK patterns in production
  • SQL basics - read and write queries; comfort learning migrations with guidance
  • Git basics - branches, commits, and pull requests
  • Willingness to learn testing and manual QA on features you ship
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Right to work in the UK

Nice to haves

  • Side projects or internships in B2B or data-sensitive products
  • Exposure to Postgres or Supabase
  • Familiarity with auth flows (Clerk, Auth0, or similar)
  • Any experience with document uploads or parsing
  • Personal or team projects using Vite / React
